AI sales coaching on your Microsoft Teams calls
Vonvo listens to your Teams meeting through the browser tab it runs in and suggests what to say next, in a panel only you see. There's no Teams app to install and no bot in the meeting. When you hang up, the call is scored like a practice session.
Included from Professional, $199/moThe free trial gives you 250 free credits, about 25 minutes of practice with AI buyers, no card needed. Live coaching is on Professional and up.
ProspectHonestly, we're in the middle of another rollout, so the timing isn't great.
Only you see this panel
Try saying
"That makes sense. What would need to be true for this to be worth a look once the rollout is done?"
Strategy
It's a timing objection, not a no. Find out what 'later' means and agree on a reason to talk again.
Key insight
They pushed back on timing, not on the problem. Leave with a dated next step.
How it works with Teams
Two browser tabs: your Teams meeting and Vonvo. Set it up in the minute before the call starts.
- Step 1
Open the meeting in your browser
Open the Teams meeting link and choose to join on the web instead of in the desktop app. Vonvo can only hear a call that plays in a browser tab.
- Step 2
Start a live call in Vonvo
In another tab, choose New session, then Live call. Name the session and add the prospect's name and company. The coach uses them as context.
- Step 3
Connect your microphone
Pick your mic from the list and connect it. A level meter shows it is picking you up. This is your side of the call.
- Step 4
Share the Teams tab with audio
Choose Prospect audio (tab share), pick the tab your Teams meeting is in and switch on tab audio in the share dialog. This is how Vonvo hears everyone else.
- Step 5
Start when the call starts
Start session unlocks once both sources are connected. Credits are used from the moment you press it, at 10 a minute.
- Step 6
End the session when you hang up
Vonvo saves the transcript and a recording, then opens the call's analysis with your scorecard.
Prefer a checklist? The same steps are in the live coaching setup guide.
What Vonvo hears
Two audio sources, both in your browser. Nothing is added to the Teams meeting itself.
Speakers are labeled by source
Whatever comes through your mic is transcribed as you, and whatever comes through the shared tab is transcribed as the prospect.
Wear headphones
If the meeting plays through your speakers, your mic can pick up the other side, and their words can end up in the transcript as yours.
Group calls share one label
Everyone who speaks through the Teams tab shows as the prospect, so on a call with three buyers the transcript does not tell them apart.
- Your microphoneCaptures your voice.Transcript label: You
- The Teams tab, shared with audioCaptures everyone else in the meeting.Transcript label: Prospect
Your Vonvo tab
- A live transcript of both sides
- Suggestions only you see
- A recording to play back afterward
What you see during the call
Suggestions follow the sales framework set as preferred in your business profile, NEPQ unless you choose another. SPIN, MEDDIC and BANT are available as frameworks for live-coaching guidance.
- Try saying
- A line you could use next, with a copy button. A new suggestion can follow each thing either of you says.
- Strategy
- What to focus on and why, given where the conversation is.
- Key insight
- Anything worth noticing, like a buying signal or an objection, when there is one.
- Earlier suggestions
- Previous prompts stay in a list under the latest one, so you can glance back.
- Live transcript and talk time
- Both sides of the conversation as it happens, with how much of the call you have been talking.
- Ask Ion
- Ask a question about the call so far, such as what the buyer said about budget. Each message uses 3 credits.
- Pop out coach
- Keep the suggestions in a small floating window while you look at Teams. Where the browser supports it, the window stays on top of others; otherwise it opens as a separate small window.
Before your first Teams call
A quick check that saves you fixing things while the buyer waits.
- A computer with Chrome or EdgeSharing a tab with its audio is a desktop browser feature. Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge both offer it in the share dialog.
- Teams on the webJoin from the browser, not the Teams desktop app. Vonvo can't hear desktop apps.
- A headsetKeeps the other side out of your mic, so the transcript and the coaching stay accurate.
- Present the meeting, not VonvoIf you share your screen in Teams, share the content or window you are presenting, not the Vonvo tab.
- An English-language callTranscription and coaching run in English today.
- Credits in your workspaceLive coaching uses 10 credits a minute from your workspace's credit balance.
If something goes wrong
Messages in quotes are exactly what Vonvo shows. Most problems come down to the tab or its audio.
- Vonvo shows: "No audio in shared tab. Make sure to check "Share tab audio" checkbox."
- Share again, pick the tab your Teams meeting is in (not a window or your whole screen) and switch on tab audio before you press Share.
- Vonvo shows: "Screen sharing was cancelled"
- The share dialog was closed before you picked a tab. Choose Prospect audio (tab share) again.
- The meeting opened in the Teams desktop app
- Close it, open the meeting link again and choose to continue in your browser.
- Start session won't click
- Name the session, then connect both your microphone and the Teams tab. Both have to show as connected.
- The coach stops hearing the other side mid-call
- Pressing Stop sharing in the browser bar, or closing the Teams tab, ends tab audio. Use the tab audio button at the top of the session to share the tab again. Coaching picks up again, but the call recording only has the other side up to the moment sharing stopped.
- The prospect's words show up as yours
- Your mic is picking up your speakers. Switch to headphones.
- Vonvo shows: "Failed to connect to transcription service"
- Check your connection and try again. If it keeps happening, contact support.
Tell the people on the call
Live coaching transcribes and records a real conversation, so be upfront about it from the first minute.
"Before we start, I use an AI assistant that transcribes and records our calls so I can follow up properly. Are you OK with that?"
Only you see the panel
Suggestions appear in your Vonvo tab, not in the meeting. Nobody else on the call sees them unless you share that tab.
The call is transcribed and recorded
Vonvo transcribes both sides and saves an audio recording so you can play the call back in call analysis. Say so when the call starts.
Teams won't announce it for you
Vonvo isn't a Teams recording, so participants don't get Teams' own recording notice. Telling them is up to you.
Know the rules where you and they are
Some places require everyone on a call to agree before it is recorded. Check what applies to you, your buyers and your company. This is general guidance, not legal advice.
Check your company's policy
Some companies limit tab sharing or AI tools on customer calls. Your IT or legal team can tell you what is allowed.
After you hang up
End the session and Vonvo opens the call's analysis.
Scored like a practice call
The call is scored on the same scorecard as practice sessions, so a real call and a roleplay are measured the same way.
About call scoringSaved with the transcript and recording
Find it under Call analysis, then Real calls, with both sides of the transcript and the audio to play back.
Practice the moment you missed
If an objection caught you off guard, rehearse it with an AI buyer before your next call.

Plans and credits
Live coaching is on Professional and up. It runs on your workspace's credit balance, and a minute of live coaching uses 10.
- Credits are used from the moment you press Start session until you end it.
- Questions to Ion during the call use 3 credits a message.
- You get a warning when credits run low. If they run out, coaching stops. Press End session to save the call and open its analysis.
- The free trial doesn't include live coaching. It gives you 250 free credits, about 25 minutes of practice with AI buyers.
| Plan | Price | Credits a month | Live minutes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Professional | $199/mo | 5,000 | 500 |
| Growth | $399/mo | 15,000 | 1,500 |
| Enterprise | $749/mo | 50,000 | 5,000 |
Live minutes assume every credit goes to live coaching. Practice uses the same balance.
Questions about Vonvo and Teams
Is there a Vonvo app for Microsoft Teams?
No. There's no app to add from the Teams store and no bot joins your meeting. You join the meeting in your browser and share that tab, with its audio, with Vonvo.
Does it work with the Teams desktop app?
No. Vonvo can only hear a call that plays in a browser tab. Open the meeting link and choose to join on the web instead of in the app.
Can the other people on the call see the coaching?
Only you see the coaching panel. Tell participants the call is transcribed and follow local recording-consent laws. If you share your screen in Teams, share the meeting content rather than the Vonvo tab.
Does my IT team need to install or approve anything in Teams?
Nothing is installed in Teams or added to your Microsoft 365 account. Your browser asks your permission to use the mic and to share the tab. Your company's rules on tab sharing and AI tools still apply.
Which browsers work?
A desktop browser that can share a tab with its audio, such as Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. Mobile browsers can't share a tab, so run live coaching on a computer.
Does it work on group calls?
Yes, but everyone who speaks through the Teams tab is transcribed as the prospect. Vonvo labels speakers by audio source: your mic is you, the shared tab is everyone else.
Is the call recorded?
Yes. Vonvo saves an audio recording with the transcript so you can play the call back in call analysis. Tell the people on the call, and follow the recording-consent rules where you and they are.
Does the same setup work for Zoom or Google Meet?
Yes. Run the call in a browser tab and share that tab with its audio. The live call setup screen names Zoom, Teams and Meet; the steps are the same.
Which languages does it support?
English. Transcription and coaching run in English today.
Which plan do I need, and what does it cost to run?
Live coaching is on Professional, Growth and Enterprise, from $199/mo. It uses 10 credits a minute from your workspace's credit balance, starting when you press Start session. The free trial doesn't include it; it covers AI roleplay and call scoring.
